PS4 firmware 13.52 hacked by just visiting one website

WebKit exploits are the holy grail of homebrew modding. You just visit a web page using the built in browser and it does all the work for you giving you a fully modded console in just a few seconds. The lastest PS4 webkit by Syimy has just been updated to cover up to firmware version 13.52, leaving only the new September 26 release of 14.00 unmodable – at the moment.

So as usual make sure you’ve got auto updates turned off so you don’t update by mistake.

Running the exploit is incredibly easy so let’s get started.

Checking Your System

First off you should check your console to make sure the exploit is going to work.

Head over to the Settings menu and System and then System Information. Check your system Software version is between 11.50 and 13.52 inclusive. I have tested the exploit on 11.00 and that worked fine so lower firmwares may also be OK.

If that’s OK we’re good to go.

Set Up

To get set up for the mod we’ve only got a couple of things to do.

First we need to go into the System Information menu again and this time select Automatic Downloads. Make sure that System Software Updates and Application Updates are both turned off. You don’t want Sony to nip in and update your console while you’re not looking.

Next you need to make sure that your console is connected to the Internet.

Back to the Settings page and then go to the Network section. If you haven’t already you need to set up an Internet Connection. Just go through the Easy option and select your WiFi network and then enter in your password. Everything else can be left as default and finally check that everything is working. Don’t worry if the PSN link doesn’t work, you just need a working Internet connection.

This setup only needs to be done once after this all we need to do is visit the modding site to hack the console.

Run the Exploit

This web address has been changing around lately so do please subscribe to the channel to keep up to date with the latest developments. I’ll keep the latest link in the description below.

But to run the exploit just open up your browser and enter the address.

If it’s your first time on the site you’ll get a message about caching but just OK everything and the exploit will start to run.

After a few seconds you’ll get the GoldHEN enabled message pop up followed by various ports being turned on by GoldHEN.

And that’s all there is to it. You’ve now modded your PS4.
